Competencies – The public activities of the Chamber are:

Approves the code of professional ethics (Code of Ethics);
Registers and maintains the register of health professionals and associates and all health institutions;
Issuance of licenses, re-licensing and revocation;
Implementation of professional supervision with the engagement of experts in relevant fields;
Cooperation with state and local bodies addressing health issues and cooperation with other professional associations in the country and abroad;
Exercise professional and legal supervision over the work of health professionals;
Plan, implement continuing professional education;
Mediates in disputes between members of the Chamber and users of health services;
Organizes honorary courts in relation to the determination of violations and professional obligations of the members of the Chambers and imposes disciplinary measures;
Sets the membership height of the members of the Chamber;
Sets the amount of the fee for licensing, re-licensing, and other permits for exercising professional activity based on legal authorizations;
Issue identification cards and identification numbers to Chamber members;
At the request of the members of the Chamber, it issues certificates, certificates and other documents based on the official records of the Chamber.

Public officials are exercised by the bodies of the Chamber according to the procedure provided by the law on General Administrative Procedure.

Other competencies of the Chamber

In addition to public authorizations from Article 8 of the Law on Medical Chambers, the Chamber also exercises the following tasks:

Represents and protects the professional interests of the members of the Chamber in the exercise of the profession;
Takes care of maintaining the authority of the members of the Chamber in the exercise of professional affairs in accordance with professional ethics;
Keeps records of the members of the Chamber who exercise private health activity and who are registered in the register of the competent body in accordance with the law;
Cooperation with state and local bodies addressing health issues and cooperation with other professional associations in the country and abroad;
Cooperation in the preparation of laws, documents and other bylaws in the health sector and overseeing their implementation;
Proposing and initiating procedures for issuing general and special acts in accordance with the Law, the Statute and other acts of the Chamber;
Determining the price list of health services and pharmaceutical services, in cooperation with the Health Insurance Fund and users of health services;
Determining the prices of medicinal products in cooperation with other responsible institutions;
Collaboration in the development of curricula for continuing professional education for all health professionals;
Implementation of scientific and research activities in accordance with the duties and responsibilities of the Chamber;
Representation of professional and social interests of health professionals and other collaborators;
Consulting, providing assistance and representing the interests of members in the field of legislation and other areas related to the field of health;
Participation in decision-making in concluding contracts with the Health Insurance Fund;
Establishment and management of the chamber fund;
Collaborates in the prevention of illegal health activity;
Preparation and issuance of forms and documents as well as magazines, books and other publications;
Promoting cooperation between members of the Chamber;
Promotion and implementation of cultural and social activities of members, organization of cultural, sports and other social events;
Appointment of representatives of the Chamber in agreement with institutions of all levels of health care;
Implementation of other activities in accordance with the law, this statute and other general acts of the Chamber.
